Introduction<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This manual is about the Big Magic ventilation unit, which is designed for controlled ventilation and optimization of the indoor climate of living spaces. The ventilation system allows heat and moisture recovery, filters the incoming air and helps maintain ideal indoor humidity level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please read this manual carefully before putting the unit into operation. Following the instructions and recommendations will ensure proper and safe operation of the unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unit complies with Commission Regulation (EU) No 1253\/2014 and Commission Regulation (EU) No 1254\/2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The manufacturer reserves the right to make technical modifications and changes to this manual without prior notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><span><strong>\u26a0<\/strong><\/span><\/td><td><span><strong>IMPORTANT NOTICE <br>Please pay close attention to the text marked as such. Following these instructions is important for your safety and the proper operation of your Big Magic ventilation unit.<\/strong><\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-2\"><\/span>2. Designated use<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Big Magic ventilation unit is an air handling unit equipped with heat recovery and active moisture recovery control. It is designed for comfortable and energy-efficient controlled ventilation of family homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This unit provides controlled ventilation of living spaces with a required air volume between 50-450 m\u00b3\/h and is operable at outdoor air temperatures from -20 \u00b0C to +45 \u00b0C. The unit is designed for use indoors where the relative humidity does not exceed 60 % at a temperature of 22 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-3\"><\/span>3. Safety instructions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow all safety instructions in this manual. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury or damage to the ventilation unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General safety principles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Big Magic ventilation unit was designed and manufactured for controlled ventilation in residential buildings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The equipment may only be used for the purpose for which it was intended and only in accordance with the technical conditions specified by the manufacturer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Installation and operation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The installation of the unit must be carried out in accordance with applicable safety regulations and standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Installation, electrical connection, commissioning and servicing may only be carried out by an authorised technician with the appropriate qualifications and knowledge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The equipment must not be modified or altered by anyone other than an authorised technician.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Operation of the unit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only persons who are physically and mentally fit and who have read these instructions may operate the equipment without supervision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not leave the device switched off for long periods \u2014 even when you are away. Always leave the unit switched on in <a href=\"#auto-mode\">Automatic mode<\/a> or at least in minimum ventilation mode.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ventilation unit can only be installed and commissioned in finished and clean interiors. Installation in construction sites is not permitted!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Operation with fireplace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Big Magic is compatible with fireplaces that are airtight and have an independent air supply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><strong>\u26a0 The appliance must not be operated together with an open fireplace or with any fireplace that does not have its own air supply!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maintenance and safety measures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><strong>\u26a0 All servicing work, including filter replacement, can only be carried out when the unit is disconnected from the mains.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><strong>\u26a0 Do not insert your hands into the filter socket when changing filters! There is a risk of injury to the hand.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you use a humidifier in a building with a ventilation unit, fill it only with demineralised water. Using ordinary water can cause rapid clogging of the filters and damage the unit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only use original filters from the manufacturer in the Big Magic ventilation unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-4\"><\/span>4. Device description<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-5\"><\/span>4.1 Working principle<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Big Magic ventilation unit provides continuous air exchange in the building, delivering fresh, clean air indoors. The heat recovery process takes place in the heat exchanger, where incoming air absorbs some of the heat and moisture from the exhaust air, which is removed from rooms with higher humidity and dirt concentrations, such as kitchens, bathrooms and toilets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fresh air flowing into living rooms such as living rooms, children's rooms and study rooms is not only thermally optimised but also undergoes filtration to remove dust particles and dirt. Thanks to this process, excessive drying of the air is prevented in winter, while in summer the transfer of moisture reduces the feeling of stuffiness in the living space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-9\"><\/span>4.5 Fans<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Big Magic ventilation unit is equipped with two energy-saving fans that provide efficient and smooth ventilation. These fans are equipped with integrated electronics that allow automatic power control and maintain a constant airflow regardless of changes in system pressure conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to this technology, the unit optimises energy consumption, reduces noise and ensures stable and efficient operation at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-10\"><\/span>5. Filters and filter change<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-11\"><\/span>5.1 Filter parameters<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Big Magic ventilation unit is equipped with class F7 \/ ePM1 60 % filters located on both the supply and extract air. These filters trap dust particles and other impurities, ensuring cleanliness and air quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The need to change filters is automatically indicated. The recommended replacement interval depends on the air quality at the installation site and ranges from 2 to 6 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Possibility to extend filtration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For better protection against odours and impurities, the basic filtration can be supplemented with an optional carbon filter, which is inserted directly into the unit under the supply air filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-12\"><\/span>5.2 Indication of the need to change filters<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The unit alerts the user to the need to change filters in the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Coloured LED light on the front of the unit (yellow - see LED signalling table).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Displaying notifications on the wall <a href=\"#A1MCP\">A1MCP control panels<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\">\u26a0 <strong>As soon as the filter change signal appears, replace the filters immediately, within a maximum of 30 days, otherwise the product warranty will be void, see warranty conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"vymena-filtru\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-13\"><\/span>5.3 Changing filters<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important safety instructions when changing filters<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\">\u26a0 <strong>Do not insert your hands into the filter socket when changing filters - risk of injury!<\/strong><br>\u26a0 <strong>Never use the unit without filters!<\/strong><br>\u26a0 <strong>The device must be switched off for any maintenance or filter change!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1619\" src=\"https:\/\/a1magic.cool\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/BigMagic_FilterChange-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-850\" style=\"object-fit:cover\" srcset=\"https:\/\/a1magic.cool\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/BigMagic_FilterChange-1.png 1920w, https:\/\/a1magic.cool\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/BigMagic_FilterChange-1-400x337.png 400w, https:\/\/a1magic.cool\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/BigMagic_FilterChange-1-700x590.png 700w, https:\/\/a1magic.cool\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/BigMagic_FilterChange-1-768x648.png 768w, https:\/\/a1magic.cool\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/BigMagic_FilterChange-1-1536x1295.png 1536w, https:\/\/a1magic.cool\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/BigMagic_FilterChange-1-14x12.png 14w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><span>1<\/span><\/td><td><span>Plastic cover + filter socket cover<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span>2<\/span><\/td><td><span>Original accessories - filters ePM1 60 %<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><span>3<\/span><\/td><td><span>Optional accessories - carbon filter<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Filter change procedure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the plastic filter cover on the front of the unit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch off the unit by pressing the On\/Off button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the old filter:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Carefully pull the cap out of the filter socket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the filter from the socket.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert a new filter:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Insert the new filter into the socket and close it with the cap.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure that the filter is oriented correctly according to the arrows showing the direction of air flow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch on the unit by pressing the On\/Off button again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The unit automatically detects filter changes and can be used again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><strong>\u26a0 Use only original filters supplied by the manufacturer. Do not add any custom pre-filters as they may adversely affect the performance of the unit.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-14\"><\/span>5.4 Importance of regular filter changes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If the filters are not changed regularly, they can become clogged, which has a negative impact on the entire system. The main problems include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Increased pressure drop<\/strong> - Difficult air flow through clogged filters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reduced ventilation efficiency<\/strong> - limited fresh air supply to the interior.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dust deposits on fan blades<\/strong> - which can change their characteristics, increase noise levels and reduce service life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Significantly higher power consumption<\/strong> - the fans must operate at higher power to overcome the resistance of the clogged filters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>System imbalance<\/strong> - Incorrect airflow control can lead to unstable operation of the unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\">\u26a0 <strong>In extreme cases, comfortable ventilation may be disturbed or the unit may be irreversibly damaged!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ProvozniRezimy\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-15\"><\/span>6. Operating modes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"auto-mode\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-16\"><\/span>6.1 Automatic mode - Auto<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Automatic mode is the default operating mode of the Big Magic unit, in which the system dynamically adjusts ventilation performance based on data from the connected CO\u2082 sensors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How does Auto mode work?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CO\u2082 sensors constantly monitor the indoor air quality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The unit automatically increases or decreases fan power according to the measured values, optimising ventilation and minimising energy consumption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In this mode, the system remains active until it is switched to Constant Power mode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a><\/a><strong>CO\u2082 sensor configuration options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to 8 CO\u2082 sensors can be installed in the living space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The installation partner can set which sensors will be used for ventilation control, allowing the system to be tailored to the specific conditions of the home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The automatic mode can be controlled using <a href=\"#A1MCP\">A1MCP control panels<\/a> or by using the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-17\"><\/span>6.2 Constant power<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Constant Power mode, the user continuously adjusts the desired ventilation power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The set value is not a fixed degree, but corresponds to the actual air output of the unit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The minimum and maximum power range is based on the unit's settings at commissioning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Constant power mode can be controlled via <a href=\"#A1MCP\">A1MCP control panels<\/a> or by using the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-18\"><\/span>6.3 Stand-by mode<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In Stand-by mode, the Big Magic ventilation unit is in stand-by mode, but no air exchange is taking place. Nevertheless, all connected sensors are still active and their data is continuously evaluated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-19\"><\/span>7. Functions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"funkce-boost\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-20\"><\/span>7.1 Boost<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Boost function allows for short-term intensive ventilation when the Big Magic unit temporarily switches to the highest available fan power. This function is useful for example after showering, cooking or to quickly remove odours from the interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Boost mode features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It works in all operating modes and can be activated at any time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The fans operate at the maximum power that was preset when the unit was commissioned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the set time has elapsed, the unit automatically returns to the previous mode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ways to activate Boost<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At <a href=\"#A1MCP\">A1MCP control panels<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using the app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Button connected to the unit - two preset options:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A short press activates Boost for a shorter period of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A long press (min. 3 seconds) activates Boost for a longer period of time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The Boost length can be individually set when installing the unit. These values can be changed by the installation partner according to user requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"funkce-pretlak-bypass\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"id-21\"><\/span>7.2 Summer bypass \/ overpressure<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Big Magic ventilation unit uses an electronic bypass to cool the interior at night during summer nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it is activated, the exhaust fan stops and only the supply fan operates, creating an overpressure. This overpressure allows air to escape naturally through open windows or vents without using the heat exchanger.
