We want to offer our customers the highest standard of comfort. That's why the Big Magic ventilation unit has an enthalpy exchanger as standard.

The principle of our enthalpy exchanger is based on the now freely available patent No. EP 1 485 657. The basis is a sufficiently large plate core with enormous thermal efficiency. To achieve enthalpy, we use the fact that in the plate core, condensate settles in exactly one half of the layers.

We have developed a mechanism for the plate core that can instantly change the direction of flow in the individual layers. After changing the flow, the settled clean water evaporates into the fresh air. Condensate is formed in the meantime in the opposite layers. The change in flow is achieved without any measurable effect on the contamination of the fresh air by the exhaust air.

You might wonder if instead of regaining moisture, it wouldn't be better to actively humidify the air.

But humidifying the air has its drawbacks.

First, the financial cost. Both the purchase of a humidifier and the water consumption are significant items in the budget.

Secondly, hygiene. Air distribution systems are always designed to prevent moisture from entering them. If a humidifier is added to the air supply, it is an element that is permanently humid and permanently in a warm environment (room temperature). Keeping such an element safe for health is problematic and the suppliers of these humidifiers themselves require regular replacement of the internal humidifier cartridges.

The enthalpy exchanger is not omnipotent. It returns humidity to the extent that it is created in the home. The enthalpy exchanger is the basis for comfortable living, incomparably more pleasant than ventilation with a standard exchanger.
